Day 10, November 3

Joshua started his day by jogging nearly four miles down to the harbor and back.

Nat and Ruth fixed a fantastic Irish breakfast for us before we dispersed.

The ladies went to My Sister’s Place where they helped to serve food and organize the pantry.

The rest of us helped around the property where we’re staying. Some did yard work, and others scraped the varnish off little wood desks.

Early afternoon, we met Nathan Zook near the inner harbor and he showed us around part of the city. We enjoyed seeing all the doorways of the rowhouses, their doors, and decorations. We stopped for ice cream or coffee. In one place, we saw a sign that said “Live Music” and because no musicians were in sight, we sang one song to provide the live music.

For a celebratory last meal, we chose a Greek restaurant, Samos, and fared sumptuously on flavorful food such as souvlaki, calamari, lemon-roasted chicken and potatoes, hummus, and baklava. It was a great way to wrap up our trip!
